A Father’s Healing Journey: How Raw Green Coffee Gave Us Precious Time
My father was facing a health crisis unlike anything I had ever seen. He was diabetic, and his condition had deteriorated to the point where he had no feeling in his feet. The doctors were discussing amputating his legs, starting with a toe that had turned necrotic due to poor blood flow. It all began with a heart issue, which led to medications that eventually caused diabetes and gangrene. Despite multiple surgeries, antibiotics, and countless treatments, his condition spiraled downward. Things became dire when the geriatric specialist told me my father had only a week to live.
I was devastated. In that moment of despair, I wandered into the hospital cafeteria. There, I met a man named Jeffrey, who was working as a dishwasher and delivering food. Jeffrey not only fed my father but also introduced me to something unexpected—raw green coffee.
